Retreats

Retreats at Meraki Stitch Studio offer a chance to gather, talk about quilting, share our work and learn from each other. Each participant has their own workstation and access to design walls, a cutting table and big board ironing stations. Delicious lunches, snacks and drinks are provided. We cap off the three days with a Show and Tell and celebration (invite your biggest supporter to come see what you have made and join in the fun). During the retreat we will take time to explore where you are and where you are headed in your creative journey. The best part of retreat is the hours of conversation, focused progress on your projects, and a chance to be your best creative self.

To register for the retreat, please complete the registration form and send it with you deposit. Retreats fill up quickly, so be sure to send your form in early.

$300

August 19, 20, 21, 2021 from  9:00 am – 7:00 pm

Meraki Stitch Studio, 30 Cutler St Studio 101B, Warren, RI

Explore who you are as a quilt artist and deepen the understanding of the role art plays in your life. We will be talking about technique, skill, goals, networking and much more. Bring a project to work on, but also come ready to talk about how the pandemic has adjusted your priorities and approach to art and life. The three days conclude with a social gathering to which your biggest supporter is welcome to join us. You will have an opportunity to share what you have been working on and what you have learned. Lunch and dinner provided daily as well as design walls, big board ironing stations, drinks, and snacks.

Traditional Quilt Retreat
$300

September 23 24 & 26, 2021 from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm

Meraki Stitch Studio, 30 Cutler St Studio 101B, Warren, RI

Spend 3 days connecting with other quilters and working on projects of your choice. You will be encouraged to bring your most challenging project to work on. I will be talking about how slowing down in construction can make your work go faster (this is a code way of saying precision!). Bring a ufo that has you flummoxed and as a group we will brainstorm about how you can get unstuck. Sharing and talking are vital parts of this retreat, including a final social evening where you can invite your biggest supporter to come see what you have accomplished and share a toast to creativity. Lunch and dinner provided daily as well as design walls, big board ironing stations, drinks, and snacks.
